The questions on Day 12 come from several chapters and are state test questions.  Please use the following prompts and study guides as assistance on these questions.  

Day 12: Guide for Questions 41-44

#41 - Solve the equation by distributing, combining like terms and seeing what happens to the variables.  Use the Linear Equations study guide and the pages related to One Solution, Infinite Solutions and No Solutions

#42 - Use the coordinates to find the slope using the slope formula or a t-chart.  Once you find the slope then use the formula y=mx+b  and plug in an x, y, and m (slope) to get the b.  Write the equation in y=mx+b form. Use the Linear Equations Study Guide to help with this problem. 

#43 - Get a piece of graph paper.  Create a coordinate plane.  Plot the points given.  Determine where point B will be to make a square.  Once you know the coordinate for point B, dilate (multiply) it by a scale factor of 2.  Identify the new points. 

#44 - Find the unit rate for Hose A (divide the y by the x to get the unit rate). Find the unit rate for Hose B by dividing the gallons by the minutes.  Which hose has a faster unit rate?
